BOTTLECOIN X
Expanding Smart Recycling.
A QR-based smart collection machine that supports plastic bottles and metal cans within a broader smart recycling ecosystem.
Hardware Components
What's inside.
QR-Based Identification
Users identify themselves or access the collection system through a QR code.
ESP32 DevKit V1
Acts as the main microcontroller for processing device inputs and controlling the system.
LCD 16×2 I2C
Displays machine messages and relevant information.
IR Obstacle Sensor
Provides object-detection input according to the implemented sensor configuration.
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
Measures distance and may support collection-bin monitoring depending on its placement and implementation.
How It Works
Six steps from account to record.
- 1The user accesses their BottleCoin account.
- 2The user scans their QR code to identify themselves or access the collection system.
- 3The user inserts an eligible plastic bottle or metal can.
- 4The sensors provide input to the ESP32.
- 5The system processes the available identification and sensor data.
- 6Transaction records and points are updated.
QR-Based Identification
Plastic bottles and metal cans.
BottleCoin X extends the BottleCoin collection system beyond plastic bottles to metal cans.
QR is used for user identification or access to the relevant system.
Same ecosystem as ONE
Collection records, points, and rewards use the same BottleCoin digital platform as BottleCoin ONE.
