Hardware Components

What's inside.

ESP32 DevKit V1

Acts as the main microcontroller for processing device inputs and controlling the system.

RC522 RFID Reader

Reads RFID card identifiers for user identification.

LCD 16×2 I2C

Displays machine messages and relevant information.

IR Obstacle Sensor

Provides object-detection input according to the implemented sensor configuration.

HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor

Measures distance and may support collection-bin monitoring depending on its placement and implementation.

How It Works

Seven steps from account to record.

  1. 1The user accesses their BottleCoin account.
  2. 2The user follows the RFID-linking procedure.
  3. 3The user taps an RFID card on the reader.
  4. 4The user inserts an eligible plastic bottle.
  5. 5The sensors provide input to the ESP32.
  6. 6The system processes the available identification and sensor data.
  7. 7Transaction records and points are updated if the required backend integration is operational.

RFID Linking Concept

Linking a card to an account.

The project's current linking procedure uses the Telegram bot @bottlecoinreal_bot.

  1. Open the bot and send Halo to start.
  2. Tap the RFID card on the device.
  3. Obtain the UID displayed or sent by the system.
  4. Submit the registration command using the supported format, such as REG:UID|Nama_User.
  5. Verify the linked status through the actual system.

Please note

This is a documented concept. It should only be treated as operational if the current implementation supports it.
